Ab Roller Review - Does the Ab Roller Work?
The Ab Roller is one of the most used stomach exercise machines. This sort of machine comes in many forms and made by many fitness brands, but it basically a circular shape with a pad to support your neck and head. What you do is place your head on the pad and do stomach crunches.
This is the main benefit of the ab roller: it helps you keep your neck straight when you're doing crunches which is something that some people find difficult to do without a head rest (even though you can train yourself to do it). If you suffer from neck problems or you feel that your current form when doing crunches isn't perfect, then using this product can indeed help you. In this respect, the Ab Roller does work.
However, you should be aware that there is no benefit to using this machine in terms of a greater effectiveness of the stomach workouts you perform. In fact, as the only exercise you can do with the AbRoller is the basic crunch (and do oblique crunches) you're pretty much limited as to what you can do. The machine works solely on your body weight. As long as you know how to do crunches well, you can get the same kind of workout on a mat.
This makes the AbRoller a product which will likely be useful for you only when you begin working out. At this time, it can be a great help. However, as you become stronger and improve your form, you will not need this machine. You'll be able to do stomach exercises without it.
In addition, you need to be aware that using an Ab Roller will not get you flat abs on it's own. It can help you do better stomach exercises, but to really get flat abs, you have to eat right and workout your entire body.
